Despite Nouns’ cultural influence and strong meme identity, there’s no cohesive identity system that unifies its growing ecosystem of subDAOs, builders, and contributors. While individuals and projects orbiting Nouns often operate under separate brands, there’s no accessible, low-barrier way for them to signal affiliation — or benefit from collective legitimacy outside of the ⌐◨-◨ on their pfp.
At the same time, ENS has always acted as an onchain identity layer for Ethereum. But within Nouns, nouns.eth is treated as a canonical, high-stakes namespace. It’s rarely used or extended — and rightly so, given its symbolic weight.

How can we enable expressive, low-cost identity that aligns with Nouns culture, without diluting core assets like nouns.eth?
